U.S. Baby Formula Crisis Demands Global Solution
Updated: May 15
Burt Flickinger discussed the baby & infant formula & powder crisis, combined with the alarming lack of worldwide Food Safety that is leading to nutritional security crises of unprecedented proportions with John Catsimatidis on WABC TalkRadio. The shortage has its origins in reported lack of Mainland China Food Safety standards & manufacturing producing contaminated infant formula using tainted ingredients, which resulted in reported numerous babies’ deaths from contaminated Baby Formula. People from China then bought up formula in New Zealand, Australia & Amazon worldwide triggering the shortage.
The solution is to allow global formula manufacturers to have entry into the US Market but the US Government, on a scale of 1 to 10 is a -1 so far on making this happen, leaving babies at nutritional risk and potentially worse. Also: The lack of food safety in Communist China reportedly contributed to half the pig population (150+ million pigs) reportedly dying from diseases and some dumped in rivers for further pollution.
