Labor Day Retail: Back to School, Inflation, Supply Chain & Holiday Shortages

On a special Labor Day edition of Bloomberg Daybreak with Nathan Hagar, Burt Flickinger discussed the retail outlook during the back-to-school season and Covid's continuing influence of shopping & spending patterns because of inflation and other economic concerns. Burt also covered the reasons behind the ongoing shipping and supply-chain challenges and its effect on Halloween supplies, toy & computer out-of-stocks as we head into the holiday season, the implications of the federal supplemental unemployment benefit phase-out and why child tax credits may not be as beneficial to retailers as anticipated.
