'Shrinkflation' is Lowering American Standard of Living
Burt Flickinger discussed "Shrinkflation," the practice of shrinking the size of packages and charging more for it on WABC Radio, "Cats at Night" with John Catsimatidis. This unprecedented price-gouging of American consumers means package sizes are shrinking by 25-35% while prices are going up 15-20%. This is because the FTC is allowing oligopolies of Orwellian proportions that's screwing American shoppers and lowering the standard of living to nothing like we've seen since the Great Depression.
In a few years, 50-60% of American people will not be able to afford to live day-to-day. Mortgage delinquencies and apartment evictions already are at a record high. Energy demand meanwhile is going to increase 30% in this decade while supply is only going to increase 20%.
As bad as inflation is today, it's going to get incrementally worse over the next eight years. We are running dry on all forms of energy and no corrective action is being taken.
